Lawmaker: Six US men freed from Honduras prison
Six American men detained for weeks in Honduras accused of violating weapons laws were freed Thursday, Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) said.
Fitzpatrick said in a statement that the six men were “in the process of traveling back to the United States and being reunited with their families.”

The Pennsylvania Republican said he visited the men in Honduras on Monday and had been involved since May in efforts to release them, The Associated Press reported.
The crewmen were imprisoned on May 5, after police and sailors reportedly found weapons, including an AK-47, on their vessel at an Honduran port.
