Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) agreed with the state party that Rep. Trey Radel (R-Fla.) should resign from Congress after pleading guilty to cocaine possession last week.
“I agree with the party chairman,” Scott told reporters at a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday morning.

The state’s GOP chairman Lenny Curry said Monday night that Radel should step down to focus on his treatment, which he checked into last week. Radel’s office said the congressman hopes to return to Congress soon.
