Poll: Obama slips to two-point lead in Nevada

Voters were also evenly split on Ryan’s Medicare plan; while seven in 10 said they were “familiar with Paul Ryan’s thinking on Medicare,” 48 percent said they supported his plan and 47 percent said they opposed it.

Nevada’s six electoral votes could play a deciding role in November’s election; the president is hoping that the Hispanic population in the state can help him carry it, while Romney is leaning on the Mormon vote and Republicans energized from his heavy campaigning there during the primaries.

The poll carries a margin of error of 3.4 percent.
