Biden to speak at NCLR annual conference
{mosads}The annual Latino gathering hosted by the country’s largest Hispanic civil rights advocacy group will be held in Las Vegas for the first time, running from July 7 to 10, according to a press release.
NCLR President and CEO Janet Murguía noted in a statement that the location “is a natural fit given the state’s growing Latino population and electorate.”
Attorney General Eric Holder, Housing and Urban Development Sec. Shaun Donovan and AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka are also expected to participate. The Review-Journal also reported that Nevada’s Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval plans to deliver a videotaped speech at the event.
Organizers expect this year’s conference to be one of NCLR’s largest conferences to date.
