A local newspaper tracked down the young girl who spoke to President Trump on Christmas Eve, who left out milk and cookies for Santa Claus on Christmas Eve and woke up to find an American Girl doll under the tree on Christmas morning.
That girl was Collman Lloyd, according to The Post & Courier. She had called NORAD looking to track Santa’s location on Christmas Eve, only to be redirected and given the chance to speak with Trump.
Once on the phone with the president, Collman was asked if she still believed in Santa Claus at the age of 7.
“Yes, sir,” she told the president.
{mosads}”Because at 7 it’s marginal, right?” Trump asks her.
“Yes, sir,” Collman repeated, though she confessed to The Post & Courier that she did not know what the word “marginal” meant.
Collman said she originally thought she would hear a recording of Trump’s voice and was surprised to actually be able to talk to him.
“I was like, ‘wow.’ I was shocked,” she said.
After her phone call with Trump, Collman sat in the kitchen with her family and wondered about Trump’s family, saying she hasn’t heard much about his kids, The Post & Courier reported.
She said if she could speak with Trump again, she would ask him about his family.
“Most people know this question. I would like to ask if he has any kids,” she said. “I’ve honestly never heard of them or seen any of them so I was wondering.”
Trump’s question to the South Carolina girl about whether she still believed in Santa Claus blew up on social media and was still being talked about on Christmas Day.
