X and Tesla owner Elon Musk said he plans to travel to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s house Monday night for their potential “cage fight.”
“For the Tesla FSD test drive in Palo Alto tonight, I will ask the car to drive to [Zuckerberg’s] house,” Musk posted Monday on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Will also test latest X livestream video, so you can monitor our adventure in real-time!”
He also said if Zuckerberg answers the door, “the fight is on!”
It’s unclear how serious Musk is about heading to Zuckerberg’s house, but the two social media executives have floated the possibility of a fight in recent weeks and months. In June, Musk said he was “up for a cage match if [Zuckerberg] is.”
However, last week, Musk said the exact timing of the match was “in flux” because of a possible minor surgery. He also teased an “epic location” for the fight, which he said he confirmed with Italian officials last week.
When reached for comment about Musk driving to Zuckerberg’s house, a Meta spokesperson told The Hill that Zuckerberg was not in Palo Alto on Monday night.
“Mark is traveling right now and isn’t in Palo Alto. Also, Mark takes this sport seriously and isn’t going to fight someone who randomly shows up at his door,” a Meta spokesperson said in a statement to The Hill.
Zuckerberg said Sunday that he does not think Musk is serious about a potential “cage fight” and “it’s time to move on.” He said that when Musk has a date and location picked out, “he knows how to reach me.”
“I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious and it’s time to move on,” Zuckerberg wrote in a post on his Threads social media platform.
The Hill has reached out to Tesla for comment.
