Harvard student claims Trump lawyer threatened to have him expelled over prank

A Harvard senior claimed that President Trump’s personal lawyer once threatened to have him expelled from the university over a prank.

Tom Waddick, a staff member of the Harvard Lampoon, told “60 Minutes” in an interview that aired Sunday that Michael Cohen threatened to have the legendary comedy magazine’s staff kicked out of school over a prank involving then-candidate Donald Trump.

{mosads}“He says, you know, ‘I’m gonna come up to Harvard. You’re all gonna get expelled,’” Waddick said of Cohen. “‘If this photo gets out, you’ll be outta that school faster than you know it. I can be up there tomorrow.’”

In the summer of 2015, the Lampoon staffers stole the so-called “president’s chair” from the offices of the campus newspaper, the Harvard Crimson.

The Lampoon staff brought the chair, which Waddick said weighs “about 150, 200 pounds,” to Trump Tower in Manhattan and, posing as the editorial board of the Crimson, offered the candidate their “endorsement.”

They took a photo with Trump, which they published online along with the headline: “Crimson Endorses Trump for President.”

Cohen, known as Trump’s “fixer,” has been in the spotlight amid the Stormy Daniels scandal. Cohen arranged a $130,000 payment to the adult-film star just days before the presidential election, a payment she says was to keep her quiet about her alleged affair with Trump ten years earlier.
