Trump tweets old photo wishing Reagan a happy birthday

President Trump celebrated former President Reagan’s birthday Tuesday, sharing a years-old photo of the pair posing together.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our 40th President of the United States of America, Ronald Reagan!” Trump tweeted along with the image.

Trump, who has often hailed Reagan as his favorite president to serve in his lifetime, shared a similar picture early last year featuring a personal note from the former Republican president to Trump, then a New York City real estate mogul. {mosads}

Tuesday would mark Reagan’s 107th birthday. The former president died in June 2004 after a decadelong battle with Alzheimer’s disease. 

Trump has long touted his appreciation for the former president, and after Congress passed a sweeping tax bill in December, Republicans hailed it as the largest tax overhaul since the the Reagan tax cuts of the 1980s.
