A female Trump voter defended President Trump’s lewd comments about women in the infamous “Access Hollywood” tape on Friday, saying Trump’s words were “taken out of context.”
In a panel discussion with female voters on the president’s first year in office on CNN with Alisyn Camerota, the host asked whether the women believed the multiple allegations of sexual harassment and assault by women against the president.
“I believe that the president has been accused of everything under the sun,” one woman said. Others on the panel agreed that Trump’s accusers have not proven their case in court. Another brought up the 2005 “Access Hollywood” tape, on which Trump can be heard bragging on a hot mic about his celebrity status and exploits with women, saying he could “grab ’em by the p—-.”

“This really gets my Irish up, the way his words are taken out of context over and over again,” one voter said. “He did not. He talked about what was possible in the world of celebrities.”
Then-candidate Trump took the blame for the tape when it surfaced during the 2016 presidential race, saying it was “locker room talk” and that he was “not proud of it.”
“President Trump would never have had to do that kind of thing. He’s not that kind of man,” the voter added.
Multiple women who had accused Trump of sexual misconduct during the campaign renewed their public complaints against the president in December, prompting top Democratic lawmakers such as Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y.) and Jeff Merkley (Ore.) to call for the president’s resignation.
Camerota asked whether the Trump supporters on the panel thought the president’s accusers were all lying.
“Could be,” said a woman who defended Trump during the discussion. Another added that “we know who’s lying.”
Trump is now facing scrutiny for an alleged affair he with an adult film star after marrying first lady Melania Trump. The Wall Street Journal reported that a lawyer for the president reportedly used a private company to pay the actress to keep quiet.
