‘Fire and Fury’ debuts at No. 1 on NY Times best-seller list

Author Michael Wolff’s controversial new exposé “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” is set to debut at the top of The New York Times best-seller list.

The book, which details President Trump’s campaign, transition and first several months in office, has sold over 1 million copies in four days, the author said in an interview published Wednesday.

“I’m going around saying, ‘It’s just a book,’ but it has become something so much larger,” Wolff told The New Yorker.

The bombshell book, which Trump has repeatedly attacked on Twitter, portrays him as an incompetent leader whose lack of experience in government has vexed White House aides and advisers.

Several top campaign staffers and advisers in the administration are quoted making disparaging remarks about Trump and his family.

Quotes attributed to former top strategist Stephen Bannon have resulted in his firing from Breitbart News.

The White House has pushed back against the book’s claims, calling it “complete fantasy and full of tabloid gossip,” while Trump himself has termed the book “phony.”
