Social media has fun with Trump quote on ‘redundancy and duplication’
Social media users mocked President Trump after he said he would get rid of “redundancy and duplication” in the government.
Trump, on Thursday, touted his accomplishments in deregulation. As he spoke, the White House released an official statement highlighting some of his points, including the quote, “We will get rid of the redundancy and duplication that wastes your time and money.”
{mosads}Twitter users were quick to jump on the irony of Trump using “redundancy” and “duplication” in the same sentence.
“The new Office of Bureaucratic Irony, however, will get all that it needs and more,” one user joked.
Even Dictionary.com weighed in, tweeting, “duplications are redundancies. Redundancies are duplications.”
