LaVar Ball on Saturday quipped that he’s going to send President Trump a pair of his son’s signature brand of basketball shoes so Trump can “calm down a little bit,” amid an ongoing feud between the two men.
“Check this out, I’m going to send Trump some ZO2s. We just got them out, man, we putting them on flight today, today is the 24th, and I said we’re shipping out ZO2s. You know what, I got to ship some to Trump so he can calm down a little bit,” Ball said in a video posted by TMZ Sports.
“You put them on, you’re going to ease up a little bit,” he said.

Ball’s son LiAngelo Ball was one of three UCLA basketball players arrested earlier this month on shoplifting charges while on a team trip to China.
Trump spoke to Chinese President Xi Jinping about securing their release, and later took credit for getting the players home.
The players held a press conference in which they apologized and thanked Trump, but Trump lashed out at LaVar Ball for then downplaying the president’s role in bringing his son home.
“If you help, you shouldn’t have to say anything,” Ball told CNN last week. “Let him do his political affairs and let me handle my son, and let’s just stay in our lane.”
Trump continued to lash out at the elder Ball last week, saying he should have left the players in jail and calling Ball an “ungrateful fool.”
