Atlantic editor: Trump is going to cause violence against journalists
President Trump’s rhetoric against the media could prompt someone soon to commit a violent attack against journalists, according to a prominent media editor on Wednesday.
There are those “who don’t understand that this is a cynical reality TV game and are going to hear over and over again from the president that the reporters, journalists are enemies of the state,” Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, told Yahoo News’s Katie Couric.
“And someone is going to do something violent against journalists in a large way, and then I know where the fault lies,” Goldberg warned.

Trump has consistently attacked the press throughout his campaign and into his presidency, sending out a series of tweets Tuesday lambasting CNN over a Russia story the network retracted.
He again tweeted angrily about The Washington Post Wednesday after the newspaper reported that fake Time magazine covers depicting Trump were hanging in his golf properties.
