Bush 41 to remain in hospital Monday night
Former President George H.W. Bush will remain in a Houston hospital Monday for the seventh consecutive night, until doctors clear him to go home, according to his spokesman.
While the 41st president’s “breathing has returned to normal,” he will stay at Houston Methodist Hospital on Monday night “pending final approval from his doctors to return home,” Bush’s spokesman Jim McGrath tweeted Monday afternoon.
{mosads}”Both President and Mrs. Bush wish to thank everyone for their good wishes and prayers,” McGrath added in another tweet.
Bush, 90, spent Christmas in “great spirits” in the hospital. He was taken there by ambulance last Tuesday evening after experiencing shortness of breath.
He is the father of former President George W. Bush and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R), a likely 2016 presidential contender.
Bush has long had heart problems and was hospitalized early last year for bronchitis.
