Rick Perry’s PAC unveils immigration ad

Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s (R) new PAC unveiled its first ad on late Tuesday, hitting the Obama administration over the border crisis.

RickPAC’s 90-second Web video highlights news reports showing Perry pressing President Obama to secure the border amid the recent influx of unaccompanied children from Central America.

{mosads}Perry, who is weighing a 2016 White House bid, launched the PAC last month to help boost conservative candidates.

Amid footage of Perry urging the president to secure border, the video flashes a banner reading, “It’s time to elect leaders who will act.”

“My message to President Obama is to secure this border, Mr. President,” the ad concludes featuring footage of Perry from a Texas House Judiciary Committee field hearing last month.

The ad makes a fundraising appeal, encouraging viewers to “Stand with Rick Perry and elect leaders who will secure our border.”

The ad was released online Tuesday, the last day of Perry’s four-day swing in Iowa.

On Wednesday, Perry spoke to the Texas National Guard, praising its work to secure the border. In his speech, Perry called drug gangs on the border “narcoterrorists.”
