Bush 43 pens ‘intimate biography’ of father

Former President George W. Bush has written a book about his father, George H. W. Bush, that will hit stores in November.

The book will be released by Crown Publishers on Nov. 11.

{mosads}The publisher described the book as an “intimate biography” of the 41st president, highlighting his accomplishments and his influence on the younger Bush during his childhood and early campaigns.

“Forty-three men have served as President of the United States,” Crown Publishers writes in a release. “Countless books have been written about them. But never before has a President told the story of his father, another President, through his own eyes and in his own words.”

The younger Bush published a memoir in 2010 called Decision Points. The new biography was written largely in secret as the younger Bush has stayed out of the spotlight since leaving office.

George W. Bush has occupied his time out of office with other creative mediums, grabbing headlines with his paintings and artwork.

“George H. W. Bush is a great servant, statesman and father,” Bush said. “I loved writing the story of his life, and I hope others enjoy reading it.”
