Palin: Impeach Obama over border crisis

Sarah Palin on Tuesday called for President Obama to be impeached over the flood of child immigrants illegally crossing the border.

“The many impeachable offenses of Barack Obama can no longer be ignored,” Palin said in an op-ed in Breitbart News. “If after all this he’s not impeachable, then no one is.”

{mosads}The former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee added that any politician who fails to endorse articles of impeachment should also face criticism.

“It’s time to impeach; and on behalf of American workers and legal immigrants of all backgrounds, we should vehemently oppose any politician on the left or right who would hesitate in voting for articles of impeachment,” she said.

Palin, a constant critic of the administration, accused Obama of “deliberately” opening the borders to the more than 52,000 unaccompanied children who have been detained crossing the border this year, saying the influx of migrants was transforming America.

She compared the U.S. public to that of a battered wife. “No mas,” she said in her opening line.

Palin blamed wealthy donors from both parties “who want cheap foreign labor” for failing to stand up and oppose the child immigrant surge.

“Have faith that average American workers — native-born and wonderful legal immigrants of all races, backgrounds, and political parties — do care because we’re the ones getting screwed as we’re forced to follow all our government’s rules while others are not required to do so,” she added

Palin said many governmental services are already being pushed to the limit — Obama could cause more “irreparable harm” during his final years in office, she warned.

Palin has accused Obama of impeachable offenses before, but her remarks Tuesday were the most direct appeal for lawmakers to charge the president.
