Businessman David Perdue (R) has opened up a lead on former charity executive Michelle Nunn (D) in Georgia’s open Senate race, according to a new poll.
{mosads}Perdue leads Nunn by 47 percent to 40 percent, in the live-caller poll conducted by InsiderAdvantage/Opinion Savvy. Libertarian Party candidate Amanda Swafford comes in at 8 percent.
Perdue has led in most public polling of the race since he won his July primary runoff. Nunn has also had a few stumbles since the general election began.
The survey of 719 likely voters reaching landlines and cellphones was conducted from Aug. 12-13 and has a margin of error of 3.7 percent.
