Rob Portman heading to New Hampshire
Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) is heading to New Hampshire, a move likely to set off renewed rounds of speculation about whether he might be eyeing a presidential run.
{mossecondads}Portman will speak at Saint Anselm College’s “politics and eggs” breakfast on Aug. 26, a traditional stop for many candidates over the years.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee vice chairman will also stump for former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown (R), boosting his bid against Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), according to The Columbus Dispatch.
Portman also has scheduled trips to Colorado and Montana to help boost Rep. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) against Sen. Mark Udall (D-Colo.) and to help Rep. Steve Daines (R-Mont.), the favorite to win the state’s open Senate seat.
