DNC hits Scott Brown as ‘politician for hire’ on Craigslist

The Democratic National Committee has launched a Craigslist job ad for former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown (R), highlighting his interest in multiple political races and knocking him as a “politician for hire.”

“Need candidate to run for political offices? Scott Brown has you covered,” the ad declares.

{mosads}It goes on to outline his qualifications, including “expertise in protecting the interests of the banking and financial services sector” and “malleable issue positions TBD by forthcoming opinion polling.”

The ad was published Monday night on the Boston Craigslist classified listings under “skilled trade services.”

It highlights the fact that Brown has not ruled out bids for president or Senate in New Hampshire, and was initially considered a contender for Massachusetts Senate in 2014.

Brown has sparked heavy speculation over his political intentions with frequent stops in New Hampshire to help local Republicans, as well as visits to Iowa.

But he appears to be moving toward a run in New Hampshire, against Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D). Brown sold his Massachusetts home and is moving to the Granite State this week.

The New Hampshire Democratic Party also went on preemptive attack on Brown this month, launching a campaign to tar him as a “shadow lobbyist” for his work with Nixon Peabody.

Shaheen faces attacks from Republicans as well. A GOP group on Monday launched an ad tying her to President Obama’s erroneous comments that Americans could keep their insurance under ObamaCare, which Shaheen had echoed in defense of the law — and which Republicans believe are a political liability for Democrats in 2014.
