Trump: Kasich called to congratulate me
President-elect Donald Trump said early Sunday that Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) called to congratulate him on his victory in Tuesday’s election.
“Governor John Kasich of the GREAT, GREAT, GREAT State of Ohio called to congratulate me on the win. The people of Ohio were incredible!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

{mosads}Kasich ran against Trump in the Republican presidential primaries and was one of the last candidates to drop out of the race.
The Ohio governor was an outspoken critic of Trump throughout the general election, refusing to endorse his party’s nominee.
Kasich said he wrote in Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for president on his absentee ballot.
Multiple Republicans who were previously critical of Trump have offered him congratulations this week, including former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).
