Michelle Obama, Melania Trump meet over tea at White House

Michelle Obama hosted Melania Trump at the White House residence on Thursday as President Obama met with the new president-elect. 

{mosads}The first lady gave Melania Trump a tour of her soon-to-be home and the two sat down for tea, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said, according to reports.

Earnest said the two talked about their children and raising kids at the White House. White House officials released no further details of the meeting. 

The meeting was closed to members of the press, though the president mentioned their conversation during his meeting with Donald Trump. 

“We want to make sure that they feel welcome,” Obama said on Thursday.
