Trump to give interview to ’60 Minutes’

President-elect Donald Trump will be interviewed this week on CBS’s “60 Minutes,” his first TV interview since winning Tuesday’s election.

{mosads}The interview will be taped on Friday and will air on its 7 p.m. Sunday show, the network said. The news was first reported by Politico.

The interview by Lesley Stahl will take place at Trump’s Fifth Avenue residence in New York City and will include Trump, First Lady-elect Melania Trump as well as Trump’s adult children, Ivanka, Tiffany, Eric and Donald, Jr., the network said.

In 2008, President Obama also appeared on “60 Minutes” after securing victory in the presidential race.

The president-elect is spending Thursday in Washington, meeting with Obama at the White House as well as House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). 

Topics in Trump’s CBS interview are likely to include priorities in his agenda come January, as well as possible Cabinet appointments. Options for top officials in the Trump administration are already being circulated.
