Michele Bachmann on Trump victory: ‘God did this’

Former Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) said Donald Trump’s victory is ” proof positive of what the Lord did.”

{mosads}In an appearance on “Right Wing Watch News,” Bachmann talked about a prayer circle she participated in on Tuesday evening.

“This was the moment when the whole race broke, when prayer began, when the church came out and then we see a 30-point swing here, a 30-point swing here and now we see the swing to a 95 percent chance of winning Trump,” on the New York Times election tracker.

“Already we know that the glory goes to the God Almighty, the God of the Universe, the Sovereign Lord. He is the one who did this for us.”

Bachmann said earlier in the campaign that she believes God chose Trump to run.

“I actually supported Ted Cruz. I thought he was fabulous, but I also see that at the end of the day, God raised up, I believe, Donald Trump who was going to be the nominee in this election,” Bachmann told CNN in an interview in August.

She has also called Trump the “Rocky Balboa” of politics and serves as an adviser on Trump’s Evangelical Executive Advisory Board.

During her tenure in Congress, Bachmann founded the anti-establishment House Tea Party Caucus.
