Kaine: ‘Hard to top’ jamming with Bon Jovi

Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) says playing the harmonica alongside rock star Jon Bon Jovi ranks among his favorite moments on the 2016 campaign.

“Being with Jon Bon Jovi on stage, it’s hard to top that,” Kaine told host Alisyn Camerota Monday on CNN’s “New Day.” “We had a great time playing ‘You Give Love a Bad Name.’ “

{mosads}“I’ve played a lot of harmonica on the trail, and I’d say that and being able to speak Spanish are the two fun things I’ve been able to do during my 105-day adventure,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee added.

Kaine played with Bon Jovi during a campaign rally in St. Petersburg, Fla., Saturday.

Bon Jovi urged listeners to remember “love trumps hate” and to pick Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton over Republican Donald Trump for president.

Kaine urged the audience to remember the importance of battleground Florida on Election Day.

“We’re not just waves in the ocean, folks. And we’re not just grains of sand. We’ve got power politically, and nobody more than in Florida. If you put your votes behind Hillary Clinton, it is done. She will be president.”

Bon Jovi also stumped alongside fellow musician Bruce Springsteen late Monday in Philadelphia at Clinton’s final campaign rally.

Clinton was also joined by her husband, former President Bill Clinton, their daughter, Chelsea, as well as President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama.
