The most retweeted tweet of campaign? Clinton telling Trump to ‘delete your account’

Twitter announced Monday that the most retweeted tweet this election cycle was from Hillary Clinton, who told Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in June to delete his account.

{mosads}Her tweet was in response to a post from Trump that denounced President Obama’s endorsement of Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee.

Twitter also shared both candidates’ top three most retweeted tweets ever, which included Clinton’s “Delete your account” tweet and five others.

Some observers have dubbed the 2016 race the “Twitter election” due to the large amount of political discourse on Twitter and the back-and-forth between candidates and other politicians.
