Sen. Bernie Sanders is making a plea for voters to head to the polls to prevent a Donald Trump presidency.
“If you sit this election out and Trump wins by a few votes,” the Vermont senator tweeted Saturday, “many people are going to be dealing with that reality for their entire lives.”
{mosads}The Vermont senator has been campaigning for Hillary Clinton in recent months in an attempt to rally voters behind the Democratic nominee’s campaign.
The race has been tightening in recent days with the election just days away.
According to the RealClearPolitics average of polls, Clinton has a 2.2-point lead over her Republican rival, 44.9 to 42.7 percent.
FiveThirtyEight’s polls-plus forecast predicts Clinton has a 64.8 percent chance of winning the White House.
The major party nominees are making their final pitches to voters, urging their supporters to get out and vote.
