Pence seizes on report Clinton asked maid to print classified information

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence (R) on Sunday slammed Hillary Clinton for a report that the Democratic presidential nominee had her maid print off classified information.

{mosads}”The American people know no one is above the law,” the GOP vice presidential nominee said on “Fox News Sunday.”

“We commend the FBI for following the facts and reopening the investigation. I think this is part of the way the American people need to count the costs in this election.”

Pence drew a distinction between the campaigns of Clinton and GOP nominee Donald Trump, questioning whether the voters want more of the “fast and loose ethics of the Clintons” or a “clean break” and “fundamental ethics reform.”

“This is all part of the equation that I think explains why you see such tremendous momentum in the campaign,” Pence said.

The New York Post on Sunday reported the Democratic nominee asked her maid to print out sensitive government emails and documents from her home in Washington, D.C. Some of those documents included classified material, according to the Post.

Clinton has been facing controversy since FBI Director James Comey sent a letter to lawmakers last month telling them the FBI would be reviewing newly discovered emails “pertinent” to its investigation into Clinton’s use of a private server while serving as secretary of State.

Since the new revelation, the polls have been tightening both nationally and in battleground states.

With just days before the presidential election, Pence said the Trump campaign is expanding the map and remained confident.
