Clinton camp previews Trump presidency in new web ad
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign on Friday released a new web ad previewing what it says could happen if Donald Trump wins the White House.
{mosads}The video, titled “Rewind,” begins in November 2017 and continues rewinding to Election Day of 2016. It encourages supporters to vote to avoid Trump being elected president.
“President Trump’s plan to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. has touched off a firestorm,” a broadcaster says at the beginning of the ad, set in a fictitious November 2017.
The ad then rewinds to October 2017, to show what would happen if Trump defaulted on U.S. debt. Other scenarios predicted in a Trump presidency include the U.S. abandoning its NATO allies and deportation forces rounding up millions of families.
The video then rewinds to November 2016 and shows Trump, the Republican nominee, securing the presidency by just a small margin.
“Donald Trump will win,” a news anchor says in the ad.
“He is the apparent victor by less than 1 percent.”
The end of the video shows a woman sending a message that says: “You vote?”
“Reality has no rewind,” the ad says in text at the end, encouraging people to vote.
Polls have been tightening ahead of the election Tuesday. Both nominees are making their final push for the White House and are pushing their supporters to get out and vote on Election Day.
