Poll: Trump catches Clinton in NH

Donald Trump has pulled 1 point ahead of Hillary Clinton in a New Hampshire poll five days from Election Day.

Trump leads Clinton 40 percent to 39 percent, within the margin of error of the WBUR survey released Thursday.

{mosads}Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson has 10 percent, while Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein takes 3 percent. Seven percent favor another candidate or remain undecided in the crucial battleground state.

In mid-October, Clinton, the Democratic nominee, topped Trump, the GOP nominee, by 3 points in the same poll, 41 percent to 38 percent. 

WBUR surveyed 500 likely voters from Oct. 29 to Nov. 1. Its new poll has a margin of error of 4.4 percentage points.

Clinton leads her Republican rival by about 5 points in the Granite State in the latest RealClearPolitics average of polls.

The Democratic presidential nominee’s advantage narrows nationwide, however, as she squeaks past Trump by roughly 2 points in the same index.
