Trump campaign CEO returning to Breitbart after election

Donald Trump campaign CEO Steve Bannon said in a rare interview on Wednesday that he will return to right-wing news outlet Breitbart following the presidential election.

{mosads}“My term of duty here ends on the evening of the 8th,” Bannon said on “Breitbart Daily News.” He formerly hosted the radio show, which airs on SiriusXM.

“I look forward to getting back and being part of this,” he continued. “It’s something I miss a lot.”

During the interview, Bannon argued that the Trump movement indicates that there’s a “sea change in American politics” that will continue beyond the election, regardless of the outcome Tuesday.

Bannon also slammed the media for saying that Trump supporters were unaware of Brexit, Britain’s referendum vote to leave the European Union, adding that supporters’ interest in and knowledge of the movement underscores their desire for change in American politics.

“It’s quite powerful, and clearly we’ve got, what, six days to go before this election,” Bannon said. 

“But I think, regardless of the outcome, there’s been a sea change in American politics, and this movement, as I keep saying, is at the top of the first inning.”

Bannon left Breitbart, where he was executive chairman, in August to helm the Trump campaign, where he has remained mostly behind the scenes. Campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, who was hired at the same time, makes frequent media appearances instead.
