Clinton decisively wins student mock election

Hillary Clinton defeated Donald Trump in a mock election held among students in grades 2 through 12, according to a new report. 

{mosads}The largest national student election, which surveys more than 380,000 students, found Clinton with 57 percent of the students’ votes, with Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, at 32 percent, according to education startup Newsela. It was first reported by Business Insider

Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, won most of the swing states among students, the report notes, and led in red states including Texas, Georgia and South Carolina. 

Voting in the survey was conducted from Oct. 17 to Nov. 1, with 384,972 students from all 50 states participating. More than 16,000 schools participated in the survey.
