Trump ‘praying’ for families of slain Iowa officers

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said he is praying for the families of the two Iowa police officers killed Wednesday morning in an ambush-style attack.

Scott Michael Green, who has been apprehended, is suspected of shooting and killing two officers from Urbandale and Des Moines early Wednesday morning while they sat in their patrol cars. 

Police say the attacks appeared targeted at officers. 

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign canceled an event in Des Moines Wednesday after the slayings.
