Ex-Miss Universe slams Trump at Clinton rally

Alicia Machado, the former Miss Universe who has slammed Donald Trump for his comments on her weight gain after winning the pageant, hammered the GOP presidential nominee Tuesday at a rally for Hillary Clinton.

“Trump was overwhelming. I was scared of him. He made fun of me, and I didn’t know how to respond. He told me that I looked ugly and I was massive. He even called me names, he said to me Miss Piggy, Miss Housekeeping, Miss Eating Machine,” Machado recalled.

{mosads}Standing in front of an American flag in Florida, Machado recounted her time as Miss Universe when she was 18. Machado read off of a prepared script in discussing the time Trump publicly criticized her weight gain, including bringing reporters to watch her work out.

“It was really painful for me. He was cruel for years afterwards. I was sick, fighting back eating disorders,” she said.

Machado accused Trump of not respecting women and only treating them as objects, imploring the crowd to vote for Clinton instead.

Clinton elevated the pageant contestant into the public eye when she told Machado’s story at the first presidential debate in September.

Trump responded by repeatedly criticizing her during a series of early-morning posts on Twitter in which he referenced her past criminal history and told voters to “check out [her] sex tape.”
