Gingrich: Ignore poll showing Trump ahead nationally
Former Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) on Tuesday blasted a new poll showing Donald Trump ahead of Hillary Clinton nationally, mocking the idea that the poll captured a 13-point swing in eight days.
Gingrich, a close ally of Trump, tweeted that the ABC News/Washington Post poll is an “absurdity” because of the huge fluctuation in recent days.
Washington Post-ABC poll is an absurdity. Trump has not moved up 13 points in the last 8 days.he was NEVER 12 points behind. Ignore polls

{mosads}The ABC News/Washington Post poll released Tuesday morning found Trump ahead of Clinton nationally, 46 percent to 45 percent. The tracking poll reported a 13-point swing from eight days ago, when it showed Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, leading by 12 points.
The survey attributed Trump’s rise to a decrease in enthusiasm among Democratic voters over the weekend in the aftermath of FBI Director James Comey’s revelation that he found new emails related to the investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server from her time as secretary of State.
Fifty-three percent of likely voters said that they have “strong enthusiasm” for Trump, the Republican nominee, while 45 percent said the same about Clinton.
The ABC News/Washington Post poll surveyed a pool of 1,128 likely voters by cell and landline telephone interviews between Oct. 27 and 30. The margin of error is 3 percentage points.
