Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s campaign manager said Sunday that the FBI’s probe into Hillary Clinton’s emails plays into the “reluctance” voters feel about supporting the Democratic nominee.
{mosads}”This plays right into their reluctance about Hillary Clinton anyway,” Kellyanne Conway said on ABC’s “This Week.”
Conway cited a new ABC News/Washington Post poll that found approximately a third of likely voters are less likely to support the former secretary of State for president following the FBI’s announcement.
FBI Director James Comey sent a letter to lawmakers Friday alerting them that emails potentially relevant to Clinton’s server investigation were discovered in a separate investigation.
The New York Times later reported that the the separate investigation was into former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.).
