Tracking poll: Clinton’s lead narrows to 4 points

A new national poll released on Friday finds Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton with a 4-point advantage over her Republican opponent, Donald Trump.

{mosads}The ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll found Clinton leading Trump 48 percent to 44 percent in a four-way contest. Libertarian Gary Johnson receives 4 percent support while the Green Party’s Jill Stein nets 2 percent.

The gap between Clinton and Trump seems to be narrowing, with the Republican nominee gaining ground, ABC and The Washington Post say. As recently as last week in the same survey, Clinton led by as much as 12 points.

The poll finds that a majority of likely voters expect Clinton to win the election.

Fifty-nine percent of responders said that the former secretary of State is likely to win the White House, while only 30 percent could say the same about Trump.

Likewise, the poll found a sharp partisan divide on the issue of election fraud. While 94 percent of Clinton supporters said that they were confident in the vote count, only 52 percent of Trump supporters could say the same.

The ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll surveyed a pool of 1,109 likely voters between Oct. 23-26. The margin of error is 3 points.
