Poll: Clinton up 9 on Trump in NH

Hillary Clinton is 9 points ahead of Donald Trump in New Hampshire, 45 percent to 36 percent, less than two weeks from Election Day, according to a poll released Wednesday.

{mosads}Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson ranks third at 10 percent in the Wall Street Journal/NBC News/Marist survey, while Green Party pick Jill Stein takes 4 percent. Three percent remain undecided.

A Monmouth University survey also released Wednesday reported a closer race for New Hampshire’s 10 electoral votes, with Clinton up only 4 points.

Trump is set to appear in Manchester, N.H., on Friday, while Clinton campaigned Monday in the Granite State alongside one of her most popular surrogates, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.).

Clinton leads Trump by about 7 points in New Hampshire, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average of polls.

The former first lady’s edge is slimmer nationwide, with Trump trailing her by approximately 6 points in the RealClear average.

The Journal/NBC/Marist survey also finds New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R) with a razor-thin lead in her closely watched fight for reelection. She’s ahead of Gov. Maggie Hassan (D) by only 1 point, 48 percent to 47.

The poll was conducted among 768 likely voters in New Hampshire via telephone interviews from Oct. 20-24. It has a 3.5 percent margin of error.
