Donald Trump has a commanding 23-point lead over Hillary Clinton in Arkansas, according to a new poll released Monday.
Trump tops Clinton 56 to 33 percent in the Talk Business & Politics/Hendrix College survey.
{mosads}Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson takes four percent, followed by Green Party nominee Jill Stein’s two percent.
“Arkansas voters seem unfazed by Donald Trump’s controversies and the results of this poll reinforce Arkansas’s solidification as a Republican state,” Talk Business & Politics CEO Roby Brock said Monday.
“The strength of these Republican numbers at the top of the ticket could affect turnout and voter preference down-ballot in legislative and local races.”
The poll also found Sen. John Boozman (R-Ark.) with a big lead in his reelection race.
Boozman has 52 percent support, with Democratic challenger Conner Eldridge at 34 percent.
Talk Business & Politics/Hendrix College conducted its poll of 463 likely voters in Arkansas via interviews on Oct. 21. It has a 4.6 percent margin of error.
