Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has a 5-point lead over Republican Donald Trump, according to a new CNN/ORC poll.
{mosads}Clinton is favored by 49 percent of likely voters, and Trump is backed by 44 percent.
Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson has the support of 3 percent of likely voters, and Green Party nominee Jill Stein is backed by 2 percent.
Clinton has increased her support among voters under age 45 — she now has the support of 53 percent of voters under age 45, compared with the 47 percent she had in a previous poll taken just after the first presidential debate.
The Democratic nominee trails her Republican rival among voters ages 50–64 by 4 points, according to the new poll.
Clinton has also slightly increased her support among non-white voters. She now has the support of 72 percent of non-white voters, compared to 69 percent she had in the previous CNN/ORC poll.
Trump has increased his lead among white voters, garnering 54 percent, compared to the 49 percent support he had in the previous poll.
Clinton has a 12-point lead over Trump among women, 53 to 41 percent. Trump has just a 3-point advantage over Clinton among men, 48 to 45 percent.
The poll was conducted from Oct. 20 to 23 among 1,017 adults, including 779 determined to be likely voters. The margin of error for the sample of likely voters is 3.5 percentage points.
Just about two weeks ahead of the general election, Clinton has been leading Trump in several recent polls.
According to the RealClearPolitics average of polls, Clinton has a 5.8-point lead over Trump, 45 to 39.2 percent.
