Google users ask: ‘Is Hillary a Republican?’

Google users want to know if Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is a Republican.

{mosads}“Is Hillary a Republican?” is the most popular question regarding Clinton just two weeks before voters head to the polls, according to the online search giant. Many users are also asking, “What party is Hillary Clinton?”

Clinton, who was raised in a conservative family, campaigned for GOP presidential nominee Barry Goldwater in 1964. But a few years later, she switched parties and became a Democrat.

“Is Madam Secretary based on Hillary Clinton?” “If Hillary wins, what will happen next?” and “Who will be our next president, Hillary or Trump?” round out the top five Clinton-themed questions, Google said Monday.

Clinton holds a 6-point lead over Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in the polls, 48 percent to 41.9 percent, according to the RealClearPolitics average of national polling.

The former secretary of State has been making efforts to attract GOP voters.
