More than one-third of the country says neither Donald Trump nor Hillary Clinton is funny, according to an ABC News/SSRS poll released Sunday.
{mosads}While 40 percent of respondents said neither candidate is funny, 30 percent said Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, “has the better sense of humor.” Twenty-eight percent chose Trump, the GOP nominee, over Clinton.
Despite the low percentages for both, 68 percent said President Obama “has a good sense of humor.”
A majority of Americans — 74 percent — said it is “somewhat to very important” for the president to be funny, while 7 percent said it is not important at all.
The survey took place online from Oct. 21 to 22, sampling 250 Americans age 18 and up. The margin of error is 7.8 percentage points.
