Former President Bill Clinton on Saturday expressed optimism about the future of the country, saying it will surpass the achievements that came during his administration.
“Listen, I believe with all my heart we’re about to enter a period that make the 90s look like small potatoes,” he said at a rally for his wife Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in Panama City, Fla.
{mosads}Bill Clinton called the coming era the “period of greatest discovery,” promising that the country will “rise together.”
“Every young person in this audience has a better than 50-50 chance to live to be 100 years old, without the threat of Alzheimer’s or other dementia, because of the money we have spent in the human genome, and it’s creating zillions of jobs around America,” he said.
“We’re just getting started.”
