Hillary Clinton’s running mate Tim Kaine has hired a transition director to prepare him for the vice presidency.
Kaine chose his former chief of staff Wayne Turnage to assist him with the transition should the Democratic ticket win the White House in November, the Associated Press reported Saturday.

Reuters on Saturday projected a strong win for Clinton based on a new Reuters/Ipsos study that showed that the Democratic nominee and her running mate on course to win 326 electoral votes.
CNN on Friday also projected a strong win for Clinton after analyzing early swing-state voting numbers.
Kaine told the AP he asked Turnage for help because in recent weeks “the prospect of winning is such that we better start doing some thinking about practicalities.”
Clinton leads Trump by about 6 points nationally, according to the RealClearPolitics polling index.
