More woman are casting early ballots in critical battleground states, according to a new report.
In North Carolina, Florida and Georgia, women are driving the early voter turnout, according to Politico.
{mosads}In North Carolina, 87,000 Democratic women have already voted, compared with 60,000 Republican women, Politico reported, citing data from J. Michael Bitzer from Catawba College.
In Florida, 55 percent of the 88,000 people who have voted as of Wednesday were women — about 484,400 people.
In Georgia, there has been a spike in early voting among women, and according to a poll out Friday, Clinton leads Trump among early voters, the report says.
Donald Trump has faced a continued backlash since the release of a 2005 tape earlier this month in which the Republican presidential nominee is heard making obscene comments about women.
In the tape, Trump talks about groping and kissing women without their consent.
Since the release, several women have come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against him.
Trump’s campaign has vehemently denied all of the accusations, and Trump has insisted that all of the allegations are “fictional.”
In a tweet last week, Trump suggested he was losing support among women as a result of the “made up” stories.
