Trump aide: Campaign ‘completely comfortable’ using stolen materials

Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, said Thursday she is comfortable with using information stolen by Russian intelligence against Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

{mosads}Conway was asked by Nicolle Wallace on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” if she was “completely comfortable” using and trafficking information stolen by Russian intelligence services.

“I am, Nicolle,” Conway replied.

“Donald Trump, he addressed that last night. I thought that Secretary Clinton and some of her answers on that topic was almost presuming that Donald Trump has access to this information or knew for sure what the source of the hacking is,” she said.

Russian state actors are said to be behind the release of thousands of Clinton campaign emails that have been published by WikiLeaks in recent weeks.

Clinton, the Democratic nominee, and members of the U.S. intelligence community have called it an obvious attempt by Russian President Vladimir Putin to influence the U.S. elections.

“We have 17 intelligence agencies, civilian and military, who have all concluded that these espionage attacks, these cyberattacks, come from the highest levels of the Kremlin, and they are designed to influence our election,” Clinton said at Wednesday’s debate. “I find that deeply disturbing.”

Trump has used material within the emails to hammer Clinton, while rejecting the findings of U.S. intelligence agencies that the Russian government is responsible for their release.

“Hillary, you have no idea,” Trump said at the debate, adding that the U.S. also has no confirmation.

“I doubt it.”
