Trump campaign manager: ‘The guy can’t get a fair shake’

Donald Trump’s campaign manager on Thursday slammed the media for its coverage of the GOP presidential nominee’s campaign and continued to defend Trump after his refusal to say that he would accept the results of the general election.

Kellyanne Conway during an interview cited a statistic that said 96 percent of donations from journalists went to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

{mosads}”That’s an unbelievable statistic for working journalists. I mean, that’s a partisan expression of support,” Conway told CNN’s “New Day.”

During the interview, Conway railed against the media when pressed about Trump’s claims that the election is rigged against him and his refusal to say at the final presidential debate of 2016 that he would accept the results of the election.

“I didn’t condemn the media. I gave you a statistic, 96 percent, that’s super close to 100 percent, that’s a really high number of journalists who gave their money to Hillary Clinton’s campaign over Donald Trump,” Conway said.

“You know the guy can’t get a fair shake.”

During Wednesday night’s debate, the GOP nominee would not say that he would accept the election outcome and continued to claim that the election is “rigged” against him.

“I will look at it at the time. I’m not looking at anything now,” Trump said in Las Vegas.

“The media is so dishonest and so corrupt and the pile on is so amazing, The New York Times wrote an article about it. They don’t even care, it’s so dishonest. They’ve poisoned the minds of the voters, but unfortunately for them, I think the voters are seeing through it.”

He said he’ll keep Americans in “suspense” about his decision.
