Megyn Kelly, Trump aide have tense exchange

Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly and Donald Trump aide Jason Miller held a tense interview after Wednesday’s presidential debate over Trump’s denial that he criticized the physical appearances of women who have accused him of sexual assault.

“He was talking about their words, Megyn … talking about her words,” Miller said as Kelly pressed him on the issue.

“Why did he say, ‘When you look at her, when you saw her, you know I didn’t do it?’ ” Kelly said.

“Because it wasn’t credible, it wasn’t credible at all,” Miller responded.

{mosads}”Look, what people want to see is who’s going to be the leader to get this country back on track,” Miller then said, changing the subject as Kelly continued to press. “That’s what people want to talk about. They’re not talking about this, Megyn.”

Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton knocked Trump at the debate for saying at a rally last week of one accuser: “Look at her, I don’t think so.”

Of another, Trump said, “That wouldn’t be my first choice.’”

At the debate, Trump said he had never criticized the appearances of the women when Clinton brought the topic up.

Kelly had a memorable run-in with Trump at the first GOP primary debate over comments he had made about women.

Trump initially deflected her question by saying his negative remarks about women were just aimed at actress Rosie O’Donnell, who he had feuded with in the New York tabloids.

The remarks led to a feud between Kelly and Trump that made headlines for months.
