Clinton hammers Trump over comments about accusers

Hillary Clinton hammered Donald Trump for making comments about the physical appearance of the women accusing him of sexual assault at the third presidential debate on Wednesday.

Trump repeatedly interjected to deny that he made the comments as Clinton pressed her attack.

{mosads}“He held a number of big rallies where he said he could not possibly have done those things to those women because they were not attractive enough to be assaulted,” Clinton said.

“He went on to say, ‘Look at her, I don’t think so.’ About another woman, he said, ‘that wouldn’t be my first choice.’

“Donald thinks belittling women makes him bigger, he goes after their dignity, their self worth, and I don’t think there’s a woman out there who doesn’t know what that feels like,” Clinton added, before going on to call on the American people to set higher expectations for their next president.

Trump said the accusations from more than a half-dozen women that he had groped or kissed them without their consent had “been largely debunked.”

“I didn’t even apologize to my wife, who’s sitting right here, because I didn’t do anything,” he said.

He separate accused Clinton and “her very sleazy campaign” of planting the accusations.

Trump then quickly sought to pivot to more favorable ground by bringing up Clinton’s use of a private email server while at the State Department.
