Clinton aide: ‘We’re ready for anything’

There’s nothing Donald Trump can do to rattle Hillary Clinton during the final presidential debate Wednesday night, according to the Democratic nominee’s campaign chairman, John Podesta.

“I think we’re ready for anything,” Podesta told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Wednesday. “Whatever they’re going to do, as Michelle Obama says, ‘When they go low, we go high.’”

{mosads}Podesta said Trump’s campaign is trotting out controversial debate guests for shock value.

“[Trump’s] whole crew and cast of characters there … I’m sure they’re encouraging more antics like we saw at the second debate from Donald Trump.”

Podesta said Trump’s reliance on spectacle is hurting the Republican nominee with voters.

“I think this is a strategy that is driving Trump down” in the polls, he said.

Clinton and Trump will clash in their third and final presidential debate late Wednesday.

Fox News’s Chris Wallace will moderate the contest, which takes place at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, less than a month from Election Day.

Trump’s campaign chief Steve Bannon told CNN Money late Tuesday Trump would bring guests to the contest that will “expose Bill and Hillary’s sordid past.”

President Obama’s half-brother on Tuesday said he would attend the debate as Trump’s guest.

“I’m excited to be at the debate,” Malik Obama, the president’s sibling on his father’s side, told The New York Post. “Trump can make America great again.”

Trump has also invited Pat Smith to be a guest at the debate. Smith blames Hillary Clinton for the death of her son, State Department employee Sean Smith, in the Benghazi terrorist attacks.  

Clinton was secretary of State at the time of the attacks, which killed four Americans.
